About the event
Over the course of Shorewood’s Centennial Celebration (from summer of 2026 through summer 2027), we are planning to gather our community at one (or more) live storytelling events – Shorewood Tales - where Shorewood neighbors will share their personal stories inspired by the general theme, “Why Shorewood Occupies such a Special Place in our Family’s History”. We are intending to draw on storytelling’s powerful capacity to build a sense of community as an opportunity to bring us together in interesting, fun and meaningful ways during this hundred-year celebration.
The first Shorewood Tales event will take place on Thursday July 30th (7:00 – 8:45) in the newly renovated Shorewood Playground. Seven (or more?) storytellers will step to the microphone to tell a story from their family’s personal history living in the Shorewood Community.
